People with disabilities are the largest and most diverse minority group out there, so this July, in honor of Disability Pride Month, Visit Tampa Bay put together a team of influencers from across the disabled community to raise awareness for all they can do.

Two Tampa Bay Area women are sharing on social media their experiences of how disabilities and accessibility impact their everyday lives.
Visit Tampa Bay teamed up with EnChroma to enhance the visual experience for red-green color-blind visitors. These special glasses are now available at the Tampa Museum of Art and the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. With these glasses, guests can immerse themselves in Tampa Bay’s rich arts and culture, seeing our community in full spectrum.
Glasses are also available to rent at the Unlock Tampa Bay Visitors Center. A deposit is required upon picking up the glasses and will be refunded upon return. Glasses are available on a first-come, first-served basis – please call in advance to confirm availability.
We have partnered with TravelAbility, an organization whose purpose is to make travel for people with disabilities easier by educating the travel industry on how to become more accessible for all travelers. Our partnership includes access to The Accessibility Playbook, through which we can educate our destination partners on how they can be more inclusive for visitors (as well as residents) with disabilities.
